Kiren Rijiju On Opposition: ‘Ready for immediate discussion…Opposition should not put any conditions’, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju clarified the government’s stand in the paper leak case.

New Delhi. The opposition is not allowing the proceedings to take place by creating ruckus in the Parliament on the paper leak issue. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has made the government’s stand clear on this. Kiren Rijiju said that the government is ready to discuss the paper leak issue immediately and the opposition should not put any conditions for the debate. He said that all the MPs should together decide when and under what rules the discussion should take place. Disrupting the discussion by placing conditions.

Kiren Rijiju said that if you want debate and discussion, then you should play a positive role. He said that when the opposition wants to avoid debate, it starts putting conditions one after the other. Rijiju said that the opposition can give its demands and suggestions in the debate. He targeted the opposition and said that if you run away from the debate, there can be hundreds of excuses to stop the proceedings of the Parliament. He said that the government is openly appealing to the opposition not to stop the proceedings of the Parliament. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rijiju said that there are important bills and work in the monsoon session. Keeping them aside, the government is ready to start a discussion on the examinations, especially the NEET paper leak. He said that cases of paper leak have come to light from different states. This is not the concern of any one party or state.

On the other hand, after Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla clearly said that he will conduct Question Hour in the House only at the scheduled time, Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi and SP MP Akhilesh Yadav met him. TMC MPs Saugata Roy and Mahua Moitra also attended the meeting with Om Birla. The Speaker of the Lok Sabha had invited the opposition for talks to decide the deadline and date for the discussion on the NEET paper leak. Om Birla had said in the House that the government is ready to discuss this issue. The discussion will be allowed under the rules as per the opposition’s wish. Earlier, Om Birla and the government had asked the opposition to give notice for discussion on the paper leak issue, but the opposition is adamant on some of its demands.
