New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu addressed the nation today on the eve of Independence Day. During this, the President spoke on many important topics like India's heritage, resolve for a developed India, Operation Sindoor, India's foreign policy, progress of modern India, public participation in nation building. The President warned in very clear words that wherever terrorists and their supporters hide, they will have to face consequences. The President described students as the creators of India's future. He stressed on the combined efforts of all for the safety of the present and future of the students. He said, making the country free from Naxalism is a big national achievement.
President Murmu said that the country has progressed rapidly in the last decade. National campaigns are being taken forward with public participation. This is an inspiring achievement of our democracy. Equality of status and opportunity and dignity of the individual are the main ideals of our Constitution. Today people from ordinary backgrounds are making extraordinary contributions in many fields. This strengthens my belief that in today's India, every person can dream big and fulfill them.
The President further said, along with moving forward on the path of modern development, India is also making a leading contribution globally in the field of environmental protection. Our country has already achieved some of the goals of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 ahead of schedule. The development of renewable energy has gained unprecedented momentum in the last few years. Our foreign policy is based on national interest. The ideals of peace, cooperation, dialogue and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam are the pillars of our foreign policy. People from every section of the country are making important contributions in nation-building, in which the armed forces, CAPF, policemen, sanitation workers and Indians living abroad are playing a special role. Murmu said India is committed to creating a 'Developed India' by 2047 through inclusive growth, drawing inspiration from its rich heritage and the ideals of the freedom struggle.
