New Delhi. A major tragic accident took place in Dholpur, Rajasthan. An Echo van overturned in a water-filled puddle in Phulpur village area of Maniyan police station area. Four people traveling in the van died in this accident. Among the dead are three children and a woman. Other people traveling in the van were injured and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Due to water on both sides of the road, the van driver could not see the pothole and the van overturned in it. As soon as the accident happened there was an outcry. People nearby ran there and started saving people.

With great difficulty the people in the van were taken out. After receiving information from the villagers, the police team immediately reached there with an ambulance and arrangements were made to send the injured to the hospital. Police is collecting information regarding the dead. The van was pulled out of the puddle with the help of a crane. According to the doctor of the district hospital, 11 people were brought to the hospital after the accident. Of these, three children and a woman had died before reaching the hospital. They were declared dead and the bodies were sent to the mortuary. Four others traveling in the van have been referred to another hospital after first aid. Three people had minor injuries, they were given medicine and sent home.

Giving information about the incident, Dholpur District Collector Shrinidhi BT said that due to heavy rains both the road and its side were filled with water. Due to this the driver got confused and the car went into the puddle. Four people died in this incident, while some others were seriously injured. Authorities are still identifying the victims.
