New Delhi. Acharya Balkrishna, an associate of Yoga Guru Ramdev and General Secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth, Haridwar, has got a big relief today in the fake passport case. Dehradun's Special CBI Court has acquitted Balkrishna while giving its verdict. Balkrishna was accused of using fake educational documents to get a passport. This matter is almost 15 years old. A case was registered against Balakrishna in 2011 and this case was much discussed at that time. Balakrishna was also arrested in this case.
However, after his arrest, Balakrishna got bail. The CBI had claimed that Balkrishna obtained a fake educational certificate from Khurja-based Shri Radha Krishna Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya in 1997. Then these documents were submitted to the passport office in Bareilly and the passport was obtained from there. Naresh Dwivedi, principal of Shri Radha Krishna Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, located in Khurja, Bulandshahr, was made a co-accused in this case. The Uttarakhand High Court had put an interim stay on the arrest of Balkrishna in July 2011. Along with this, the court had directed Balkrishna to submit his passport to the court. However, seven years later, in 2018, the court returned Balkrishna's passport and allowed him to renew it.
After the court's decision in this case, Balakrishna has called it the victory of truth. Balkrishna responded by writing on Twitter, “For the last 15 years, an unsuccessful attempt has been made to break me from within by implicating me in a false case, by subjecting me to insults, defamation and mental torture. Ultimately, by the grace of God, the authority of Guru, the blessings of elders and the love, prayers and goodwill of all of you, the truth prevailed through the decision of the CBI Court. Balkrishna has expressed gratitude for everyone's love, kindness and blessings.
