Also, cyclonic flow is becoming active in and around Haryana.
The Meteorological Department has said that thunderstorms with heavy rain will be seen in Himachal Pradesh on 13 and 14 September and in Uttarakhand from Thursday to 14 September. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on 13 and 14 September. There are chances of very heavy rain in Bihar from Thursday to 13 September, in Jharkhand from 12 to 14 September and in Odisha from Thursday for a few days. An alert has been issued for heavy rains along with thunderstorms and lightning in West Bengal from 11 to 14 September and Vidarbha, Marathwada as well as Konkan.
The Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of heavy rain in North-Eastern Assam, Meghalaya till September 12, Arunachal Pradesh from September 10 to 14, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura in the next few days. After the beginning of next week, the rain will reduce and there is a possibility of departure of monsoon by the third week of September. The Meteorological Department had earlier said that this year there will be less than average rainfall in monsoon due to the effect of El Nino. However, large parts of the country have received heavy rainfall in July and August. However, like every year, only after the withdrawal of monsoon, the Meteorological Department will give information whether there was average rainfall or not.
