New Delhi. CBI has now taken over the investigation into the death of Bollywood celebrity manager Disha Salian. As per the orders of Bombay High Court, CBI officer Seema Pahuja has been appointed as the investigating officer. Now this matter will be investigated under the supervision of Seema Pahuja and the secret of the circumstances under which Disha died will be revealed. The reason behind handing over the responsibility of this high profile case to Seema Pahuja is her experience. She has already investigated many complex cases. She was even involved in the investigation of Hathras incident in UP and RG Kar Medical College rape and murder case in Kolkata.
Seema Pahuja is currently SP in the Delhi-based Special Crime Unit of CBI. Seema Pahuja also received the Gold Medal for Best Investigative Officer in the year 2021. Seema has also been posted in Chandigarh and Ghaziabad units of CBI. Seema Pahuja has also made an important contribution in the investigation of Unnao rape case and Gudiya incident of Himachal Pradesh. Seema Pahuja also has vast experience in analyzing digital and forensic evidence. It is because of all these qualities of his regarding work that the investigation of Disha case has been handed over to him.
Let us tell you that in June 2020, Disha died after falling from the 14th floor of a multi-storey building located in Malad, Mumbai. She was the manager of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Disha's father Satish Salian has alleged that his daughter was raped and murdered. While hearing the petition of Satish Salian, the Bombay High Court on September 2 had ordered a CBI investigation into the matter. The FIR lodged by the CBI names 10 people including Shiv Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aditya Thackeray, the then Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, Rhea Chakraborty and Sooraj Pancholi.
