Recently, along with the announcement of expelling her nephew Akash Anand from BSP, Mayawati had said that she will now give an important role in the party to her brother Anand Kumar's daughter i.e. niece Deepika Anand. Mayawati has changed her mind again. He has also distanced himself from his niece. Mayawati has also told whom she will promote in BSP.

Mayawati has written in a post on social media that it has been a dilemma for me for some time now whether I should promote anyone from Anand Kumar's family in the party or not. Putting an end to this, now after serious consideration of every aspect, I have decided that such a member of his family, who does not follow Akash's footsteps at all, should be promoted in the party. Then about Deepika, Mayawati has written that as far as taking help of her daughter in future is concerned, after her marriage, if her case turns out to be like that of Akash Anand, then it will also not be right in the interest of the party.
Mayawati has written that keeping this in mind, it is appropriate in the interest of the party that Akash and his sister should be kept away from any responsibility of BSP. Mayawati has further written that in place of these two, only Ishaan Anan from Anand Kumar's family will be given respectable responsibility in the party.
