New Delhi. Police action continues in the case of molestation of a minor girl in Jamui, Bihar. The main accused who is absconding, Nandan Yadav, has been injured in a police encounter. He was shot in the leg. Another accused Hareram Yadav's leg is broken. Nandan Yadav and Hareram Yadav have been admitted to Sadar Hospital. Nandan Yadav is the same and is seen with a towel tied over his mouth in the viral video of this incident. It was Nandan Yadav who misbehaved the most with the minor student. Before this, the police has also arrested the accused Ramashish Chaudhary, he is accused of posting the video of the incident on social media.

Police have registered an FIR against 7 accused in this case, out of which 6 accused have been arrested so far, out of which three minors were detained by the police yesterday. Three others were arrested today. Now only the accused is out of the custody of the police and he is being searched. On the other hand, seeing this gruesome incident, the villagers of the accused are also very angry and have demanded strict punishment for the accused.
National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, taking suo motu cognizance of this matter, has sought a detailed report of the action taken from Bihar DGP within 7 days. Jamui SP has also constituted SIT under the leadership of Deepti Monali to investigate the case. FIR has been registered against all the accused under POCSO Act and other sections. Sharing of the video of this incident circulated on social media has been banned and legal action will be taken against those sharing the video.
