Kolkata. West Bengal CM Subhendu Adhikari has given an important statement about the people living in the state. Addressing the 'Ram-Sharad Kothari Pratibha Samman' program at the National Library of Kolkata, Shubhendu Adhikari said that this time Janata Janardan saved the state. Otherwise the situation was going to get very bad. Shubhendu also said that in view of the worsening situation in West Bengal, he had thought of shifting his elderly parents to Odisha.

Shubhendu Adhikari said in the program that if Janata Janardan had not saved West Bengal, then who knows what would have been our condition. The West Bengal CM said that his father is 90 and mother is more than 80 years old. Shubhendu Adhikari said that his plan was to go to jail after fighting Mamata Banerjee's TMC government. They were also preparing to send the parents to Odisha in case something happens. Shubhendu indirectly targeted Mamata Banerjee and said that considering the way the atmosphere was created in West Bengal, a lot of work remains to be done.
Shubhendu Adhikari said that he will not allow cow slaughter in West Bengal. CM said that this time I give a commitment in the context of what you saw during Bakrid. As CM, I promise that I will not let this happen here. I will not approve of cow slaughter. Shubhendu also urged organizations and people to come forward and build as many cow sheds as possible. He said that the West Bengal government will provide assistance for the construction of cow shelters. Shubhendu said that there is no fear now. That atmosphere is over. Small cow shelters are running in Kolkata, Kharagpur and Purulia. CM Shubhendu also said that he will preserve the Sanatan tradition, culture of India and the heritage of West Bengal. He announced that the government will name a road in memory of the Kothari brothers who lost their lives in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and awards will be given in their names in universities and colleges.
