Meerut. Last year, after the murder in Meerut, the news of the body being packed in concrete in a blue drum was discussed across the country. Meerut court had recently convicted Muskaan, wife of deceased Saurabh Rajput, and her alleged lover Sahil in this case. Meerut District Judge Arvind Mishra had said that such incidents have no place in a civilized society. Now the district judge can sentence Muskaan and Sahil, accused of murder of Saurabh Rajput, today.
Saurabh Rajput lived in Brahmapuri police station area of Meerut. He was an officer in the Merchant Navy. Saurabh Rajput was murdered on 3 March 2025. Saurabh's wife Muskaan was accused of having an affair with Sahil. Muskaan and Sahil wanted to get married. Because of this, a plan was made to remove Saurabh from the way. When Meerut Police investigated Saurabh's murder, all the links of Muskaan and Sahil's conspiracy were exposed. Police came to know that Saurabh Rajput had returned to Meerut from London on 24 February 2025. The next day i.e. on 25th February, he celebrated Muskaan's birthday. After that, on 28th February, Saurabh Rajput and Muskaan also celebrated their daughter's birthday.
Police investigation revealed that on the night of March 3, 2025, Muskaan gave sleeping pills to her husband during his meal. When Saurabh went into deep sleep, Muskaan called Sahil who lived in the neighbourhood. Sahil killed Saurabh Rajput by strangulating him. During that time Muskaan was holding her husband's legs tightly. Muskaan and Sahil dismembered Saurabh's body. Then the body pieces were put in a blue drum and filled with concrete. On March 4, Muskaan left her daughter at her parents' home and then on March 5 she went to visit Himachal with Sahil. Both returned on 17 March. At the same time, discussion started about Saurabh's disappearance. Muskaan and Saurabh's daughter told her grandmother about her father's murder. After which he called his daughter Muskaan. Muskaan then admitted that Saurabh had been murdered. After which his mother informed the police. Police had recovered parts of Saurabh's body by cutting the blue drum.
