Azam Khan And Abdullah Azam Get Bail: Bail to Azam Khan and his son Abdullah, sentence suspended in two PAN card cases.

New Delhi. Senior Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam have got a big relief from Allahabad High Court today. The High Court has granted bail to father and son in the two PAN card case of Abdullah Azam. Besides, the sentence of Azam and Abdullah has also been suspended. However, the court rejected the demand to stay the conviction. The single bench of Justice Samit Gopal has given this decision. Earlier, the court had reserved its decision on October 15.

Holding Azam Khan and Abdullah Azam guilty in this case, the MP-MLA Court of Rampur had sentenced them to 7 years in jail in November 2025 and also imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 each on both of them. After this, an appeal was made in the Sessions Court where Azam Khan's sentence was increased to 10 years and the fine amount was increased to Rs 5 lakh. After this Azam and Abdullah approached the High Court. He had filed a petition seeking suspension of sentence along with bail and stay on conviction. The state government appealed to the High Court to increase the sentence of Azam Khan and his son. On behalf of Azam and Abdullah, their lawyers argued in the Allahabad High Court that the punishment given by the trial and sessions court is not in accordance with the established principles of law, hence they should be given relief till the final appeal is disposed of.
