New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 24th installment of PM-Kisan Yojana today from Banaskantha, Gujarat. Under this, Rs 18,690 crore will be transferred to the bank accounts of more than 9.34 crore farmers across the country. On this occasion, Modi said, friends, I knew only two things – service to the nation through public service and development of the country through the development of Gujarat. You taught me how to do the rest, how to move forward. Whatever I have been able to do for the country, the credit goes to all the countrymen and all of you. For this I will be indebted to you throughout my life. I will remain engaged in your service till the last moment of my life. Although Modi did not take anyone's name, it is believed that his statement is a response to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's objectionable remarks about PM Modi's father.

Modi said, today every farmer, every youth, every sister and daughter of the country is moving forward with the determination to make a developed India but unfortunately some people are not liking it. These are people who want to see the country in trouble. When there is a crisis in the country, they feel happy. The latest example of this is the ongoing war between Iran and the Gulf countries. When India is unitedly trying to face this, these people were spreading rumours. Farmers were intimidated for fertilizers. The sisters were threatened that now they would not get gas, how would food be cooked, how would their children go to school. Their plan was to create chaos in the country so that they could defame Modi.

PM said, I had said that Modi will stand firmly with you. See, this war is going on even today, but Modi did not let the farmers face shortage of fertilizers. Due to this war, the prices of fertilizers have increased a lot in the world, but the government did not let its burden fall on the farmers. The bag of urea which is available in the world for Rs 3,000, is available to Indian farmers for less than Rs 300. The intention of the government behind this is to empower the farmer and improve his life.
