Bhadohi. Under the joint aegis of District Employment Office and Labor Department, Bhadohi, a mega employment fair and construction workers benefit distribution program was organized at Chitransh Palace, near Sugar Mill Gate, GT Road, Aurai. The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Honorable Cabinet Minister, Labor and Employment and Coordination Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Anil Rajbhar by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp.
On this occasion, Honorable Minister Shri Anil Rajbhar said that the state government is continuously working to provide more and more employment opportunities to the youth and to protect the social and economic interests of the workers. Through employment fairs, along with providing employment to the youth as per their qualifications, various welfare schemes are being provided to the construction workers and their families. He called upon the youth to take advantage of the available employment opportunities and the construction workers to get benefits as per their eligibility by registering in government schemes.
More than 42 companies participated in the mega job fair and more than 1000 vacancies were made available on various posts. About 5000 candidates who came in search of employment participated. After the selection process, offer letters were provided to 1260 candidates on the spot. There was an atmosphere of enthusiasm and happiness among the youth who received the offer letters.
During the program, various welfare schemes run by Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board were widely publicized. A registration camp was also organized for the registration of construction workers and to provide benefits of schemes to the eligible workers. On this occasion, benefits amounting to ₹ 6,49,64,729/- were distributed under various schemes to the construction workers of Mirzapur division and the dependents of the deceased workers.
Honorable District Panchayat President Shri Anirudh Tripathi said that the employment fair is an important initiative towards providing employment opportunities to the youth. Such events give the youth an opportunity to connect with different companies on a single platform and get employment as per their qualifications.
Honorable MLA Aurai Shri Dinanath Bhaskar said that the priority of the government is to connect the youth with employment and to extend the benefits of the schemes run for the welfare of workers to the eligible beneficiaries. He congratulated the candidates selected in the employment fair.
Honorable MLA Gyanpur Shri Vipul Dubey said that it is commendable that a large number of youth are getting employment opportunities through the employment fair. He called upon the youth to take maximum advantage of skill development and available employment opportunities.
Honorable BJP District President Shri Deepak Mishra said that the government is continuously taking effective steps in the interest of youth and workers. On the one hand, employment fairs and labor benefit distribution programs have provided employment opportunities to youth, while on the other hand, financial assistance has been provided to construction workers and their dependents.
Providing employment to youth and benefits of schemes to workers is priority: District Magistrate
District Magistrate Shailesh Kumar expressed gratitude towards all the public representatives, officers, companies, candidates and workers present in the program. He said that providing maximum employment opportunities to the youth and providing benefits of government welfare schemes to construction workers and their dependents are among the priorities of the district administration. He said that the instructions and suggestions given by the Honorable Minister will be taken seriously and implemented effectively.
The District Magistrate thanked the District Employment Office, Labor Department, participating companies, public representatives, officers and all the candidates and workers participating in the program for the successful organization of the employment fair.
MP representative Mr. Sanjay Kumar Bind, Chief Development Officer Bal Govind Shukla, Labor and Employment Department, District Employment Officer Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director of Employment Ashok Kumar Prajapati and officials of related departments, representatives of various companies, candidates and a large number of construction workers were present in the program.
