Easy way to avoid mosquito terror, WHO told what to do and what not to do
Even a mosquito can cause major problems to your health. On the occasion of World Malaria Day, the World Health Organization (WHO) reiterated its resolve to completely eliminate malaria and explained what we should do and what we should not do to prevent the disease spread through mosquito bites.
According to the World Health Organization, it can be easily prevented and cured, but caution is necessary. The organization has appealed to the common people to prevent mosquitoes from breeding and protect themselves.
According to WHO, to prevent mosquitoes from breeding, completely remove stagnant water around the house. Mosquitoes lay eggs in water, so do not let water stagnate in pots, tyres, buckets or any other place. Wear full-sleeved clothes from sunset to sunrise to avoid mosquito bites. Make sure to use mosquito net while sleeping. Place nets on windows and doors so that mosquitoes cannot come inside the house.
Apart from this, keep an eye on the symptoms like if the initial symptoms of malaria appear then contact the doctor immediately. Common symptoms are fever, body ache, chills, fatigue, headache and nausea. If any of these symptoms appear, do not delay. At the same time, serious symptoms include confusion, difficulty in breathing, seizures and thick yellow urine. If these symptoms appear, reach the hospital immediately.
WHO advises to get tested for this quickly and start treatment immediately. Malaria can be easily cured by catching it in time. Delay may make the situation serious. Efforts at individual and community level are necessary to prevent malaria. With mosquito control, cleanliness and awareness, we can control this disease to a great extent.
