Aam Aadmi Party will write a letter to the Chairman to cancel the membership of seven MPs!
Sanjay Singh said that the joining of these MPs in BJP is completely unconstitutional, illegal and against parliamentary rules. He clarified that under the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution (Anti-Defection Law), any kind of defection is not considered valid, even if it is done on the basis of two-thirds of the votes.
He said that he will write a letter to the Chairman of Rajya Sabha and cite all the rules and legal provisions, so that the membership of all the seven MPs who have joined BJP can be cancelled. He alleged that this step is against democratic values and cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
At the same time, AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj also made a scathing attack on BJP on this issue. He said that the party is built on the strength of common workers and the departure of some leaders will not make any difference. He alleged that the central government is trying to weaken the opposition parties by misusing various agencies.
Saurabh Bhardwaj said that in the current circumstances many leaders are leaving the party under pressure, but the common workers are still standing firmly with the party. He appealed to the workers to maintain their morale and continue asking questions to the government.
Taking aim at BJP, he said that the government is adopting the strategy of breaking the opposition to avoid criticism. He alleged that those leaders who are first subjected to action by the investigating agencies are later declared ‘clean’ after joining the BJP.
