Abhishek Banerjee’s allegation, central forces spread panic in Bengal!
Posting on social media platform X, Abhishek Banerjee said that these forces have been reduced to a ‘gang of licensed goons’ and left to the people of Bengal. He alleged that during the elections, common citizens were being targeted and an atmosphere of fear was being created among the voters.
Referring to an alleged incident, he said that an elderly man had come to vote with his son in Udaynarayanpur in Howrah district. The physical condition of the old man was weak and he could not walk without support.
The Trinamool leader alleged that the central forces have been spreading panic among the common people since morning. He said that women are being assaulted, elderly people are being attacked and even children are not being spared. Banerjee termed this as the ‘Sheetalkuchi mentality’ of 2021 and said that even at that time incidents of violence against unarmed civilians had come to light.
He warned that BJP had to pay the political price for the incidents in 2021 and this price could be even heavier in 2026. Banerjee also said that such action is a serious threat to the democratic process and is affecting the peace and order of the state.
In his message he also warned the Central Forces personnel that they are not above the law. He said that every person involved in such alleged barbarity will be identified and strict legal action will be taken against them.
In the end he said that the people of Bengal will respond to such politics of terror and pressure in a democratic manner and will protect the honor and rights of the state.
