Tiredness, stiffness and poor digestion throughout the day? Padahastasana has the solution!

In today’s busy life, problems like fatigue throughout the day, mental stress, body stiffness and poor digestion have become common. To get relief from these problems, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has suggested Padahastasana. The Ministry of AYUSH, which is preparing for Yoga Day, has advised to do this asana daily, which proves to be very effective in keeping both body and mind healthy.

According to the ministry, problems like stress, stiffness, poor digestion and low energy gradually accumulate in the body. To get rid of these, Padahastasana is an easy but powerful asana. Regular practice increases the body’s flexibility, strengthens the digestive system, calms the mind and deep forward stretches relieve physical stress.

The practice of Padahastasana improves blood circulation, which provides energy to the entire body. This reduces fatigue and makes you feel fresh throughout the day. This forward bending posture stretches the muscles of the waist, back and legs, thereby removing stiffness. Besides, it improves digestion by putting pressure on the stomach organs and provides relief from problems like constipation.

Experts say that Padahastasana not only improves physical health but also strengthens the mind-body connection. Regular exercise reduces mental stress, increases concentration and also improves sleep. This asana is especially beneficial for those who work sitting for a long time or who suffer from back pain.

Padahastasana is a forward bending pose, for which standing and join both the legs, while exhaling, bend forward from the waist and try to keep the hands on the ground near the feet. You can bend your knees a little in the initial days. Wait for a few seconds and slowly return to normal position. This asana can be practiced 3-5 times daily.

Yoga experts advise to take some precautions, people with serious back problems, hernia or high blood pressure must consult a doctor or yoga expert before doing this asana. Pregnant women should also be careful.
