Upsc Cds Ii 2026 Recruitment Notification Released Applications Open For 451 Posts

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the notification of Combined Defense Services (CDS-II) Recruitment Examination 2026 on its official website on the basis of different syllabus, through which eligible candidates will be recruited for a total of 451 posts of officers in Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA).

Indian Military Academy, Dehradun – 163rd (DE) course commencing in July 2027 out of 451 vacancies released by UPSC includes 100, 13 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala – The course will commence from July 2027 with 26 vacancies for Executive Branch (General Service)/Hydro, 6 vacancies for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Naval Wing) holders and 01 vacancy for Hydro.

Air Force Academy, Hyderabad – (Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing from July 2027, i.e. 32 of 222F(P) course, 03 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Air Wing) holders through NCC Special Entry; Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 126th SSC (Men) (NT) (UPSC) course will start from October 2027 with 275 posts; And Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Madras) 126th SSC Women (NT) (UPSC) course will start from October 2027, consisting of 18 posts.

The application process for all these posts through online has started from 20th May and the last date to apply has been fixed as 9th June. In such a situation, the candidates who want to fill the application form to be appointed to the posts released by UPSC, can visit the official website of the Commission and submit their registration form on or before 6 pm on the last date.

Candidates filling the application form should have relevant post graduation from a recognized institute or university, Degree in Engineering or B.Sc (with Physics and Mathematics at 12th level) with Physics as main or optional subject. Along with this, the candidates should also have other prescribed eligibility as per the post.

The minimum age of the applicants has been fixed between 19 to 20 years and the maximum age has been fixed between 24 to 25 years as per the post. Whereas, eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination (objective type), SSB Intelligence and Personality Test, medical examination and document verification, after which the salary of the selected candidates will be Rs 56,100 per month. Whereas, the written examination will be held on 13th September.

While applying, candidates will have to pay the prescribed application fee as per their category through online medium, which has been fixed at Rs 200 for General/OBC/EWS (Male). At the same time, women candidates (all categories) and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category have been given exemption in registration fees.
