‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ completes 49 years, Neetu Kapoor thanks Manmohan Desai!
Actress Neetu Kapoor expressed happiness on Instagram on completion of 49 years of the film’s release. He expressed his gratitude to the director by sharing the post of the film on the Stories section. He wrote, “’Amar Akbar Anthony’ was released on 27 May 1977, for which heartfelt thanks to director Manmohan Desai.
The blockbuster Hindi action-comedy film ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ is as loved today as it was at the time of its release. This unique story of three brothers is one of the biggest cult classic and blockbuster masala films in the history of Indian cinema.
In the film, Neetu Kapoor (Neetu Singh) played ‘Dr. Played the character of ‘Salma Ali’. She plays a kind and understanding Muslim doctor in the film and her love story with actor Rishi Kapoor is shown.
In this film, emotion and drama were given priority over logic. The film presented a mix of action, comedy, romance and great songs which broke all box office records. The film starred Vinod Khanna (Amar), Rishi Kapoor (Akbar) and Amitabh Bachchan (Anthony) in lead roles.
