Opposition counterattacked on Yogi’s statement, Imran Masood said – Do not link crime with religion!

Congress MP Imran Masood has given a sharp reaction to the recent statement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He said that crime should not be viewed through the prism of religion. Citing several incidents of violence across Uttar Pradesh, he stressed that law and order should apply equally to all criminals, irrespective of community.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had said in his statement on the Ghaziabad Surya murder case that ‘incidents like betrayal and stabbing under the guise of friendship are not acceptable at any cost.’

On this, the Congress MP while talking to IANS said, “He (the main accused Asad) was killed in an encounter by the police, but the other athlete, Tyagi boy, could have been found out as well. What happened to him?”

He too was killed in the name of friendship. Why can’t you say anything about that? Why can’t you speak on the one who was killed in Ghazipur in the name of extortion? Why don’t we talk about the person who killed the child by throwing him? A murder took place here by slitting the throat, murder is murder isn’t it?

On the question of UP law and order, Imran Masood said, “Crime is not being controlled. What is the output coming? I had also said yesterday that if you decide crimes on the basis of caste and religion, then crime will not be controlled. The treatment given to criminals should be applicable to every criminal.”

On CM Yogi’s statement regarding cow, Imran Masood said, “If a cow is a mother cow, will she remain a mother cow only for 14 years? If the Bengal government has given permission to slaughter a cow older than 14 years, will the cow not cease to be a mother cow after 14 years? Why do you allow slaughter? Why don’t you ban beef export? You ban its slaughter.”

At the same time, Samajwadi Party MP Awadhesh Prasad also reacted to CM Yogi’s statement. He said, “Chief Minister Yogi has an identity. He has an identity in the state as well as in the country. He has an identity, so he is worried about our identity, which ideology leader we are, so he is worried that our identity should not be lost.”

Awadhesh Prasad raised questions on the encounter in UP. He said that encounter has no place in the rule of law. We have fought against the encounter. He said that many encounters were carried out in a fake manner in the state.
