Daughter’s respect is paramount, control the language of workers: Yogi Adityanath!

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while giving a public reaction for the first time in the case of objectionable comments made on social media about Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter Aditi Yadav, said that derogatory remarks against any daughter cannot be accepted. He said that as soon as the matter came to notice, the police were instructed to register an FIR.

Addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of 39 development projects worth Rs 955 crore in Azamgarh on Saturday, the Chief Minister said, “A daughter is a daughter and she should be respected.

Recently I was seeing that some people had made wrong comments against the daughter of Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav. When this matter came to my notice, I immediately asked the police to register an FIR in this matter. Any derogatory comment against the daughter will not be tolerated.”

CM Yogi said that respect for daughters has been given the highest place in Indian culture. He said, “We have been brought up in that culture where it is said that the daughter of the village is everyone’s daughter and the sister of the village is everyone’s sister. We never discriminated.”

During this, the Chief Minister also targeted SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and said that along with giving advice to others, he should also teach the lesson of dignified language to his workers and supporters.

He said, “If Akhilesh ji gives advice to others, then give some advice to his disciples also that they should control their language. Before commenting on others, you should think for yourself.” Yogi Adityanath alleged that some people of Samajwadi Party also use indecent language towards sisters, daughters, elders, deceased persons and senior leaders.

He said that SP chief Akhilesh should explain to them and if they do not understand then hand them over to us, we will make them understand.

He said that political differences have their place, but no compromise can be made on the issue of respect for women and daughters. He clarified that it is the responsibility of all political parties and their workers to maintain decency and decorum in public life.

During the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 39 development projects costing Rs 955 crore in Azamgarh district. On this occasion, many public representatives and officials including State Government Minister Omprakash Rajbhar were present.
