Working with Amitabh Bachchan and Jitendra benefited him a lot: Shatrughan Sinha!

Actor Shatrughan Sinha shares unheard stories from his film career spanning decades. During a conversation on the upcoming episode of singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’, host Aditya Narayan candidly asked Shatrughan Sinha about his experience of working with veteran megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actress Reena Roy.

Shatrughan Sinha said on his relationship with Amitabh Bachchan, “Amitabh has been a good friend of all of us. We have done many films together and also very successful films. He is one of our long-time best friends Jitendra and also our best colleague. I have benefited so much from working with both of them.”

He said that like Jitendra, Amitabh is also one of our oldest and best friends and also one of our best colleagues. He never interferes at all and always supports us. Jeetendra has also always supported him, and Amitabh is also a great actor.

Talking about the films of Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha together, they worked together in hit films like ‘Kaala Patthar’, ‘Dostana’, ‘Shaan’, ‘Naseeb’, ‘Parvarish’ and ‘Bombay to Goa’.

Despite delivering several blockbuster films together, there were reports of strained professional relations between Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha during the 1970s and 1980s.

Shatrughan Sinha had said in many of his interviews that he sometimes felt that some people tried to limit his roles or his screen presence in multi-star films, as the audience reacted strongly to his acting and popularity, which allegedly led to a cold war-like situation between him and Big B.

However, both the actors gradually forgot their differences and have spoken about each other respectfully over the years.
