Maharashtra Tet 2026 Postponed Councils Major Decision Following Discovery Of Question Paper
According to the State Examination Council, the TET 2026 exam was to be conducted at 1,028 examination centers across Maharashtra. In view of the irregularities reported in various competitive examinations in recent times, especially NEET 2026, the Council had made special arrangements for the security of the examination. Despite this, after receiving secret information, investigation into the entire matter was started.
According to the information, on the morning of June 27, Bhiwandi Police received information that some people had information related to the question paper of Teacher Eligibility Test. Based on the information, the police raided the concerned place. After this, officials of Maharashtra State Examination Council were called to the spot and the recovered material was matched.
Preliminary investigation found that some of the recovered questions matched the question paper of the TET exam to be held on June 28. After this confirmation, the Examination Council decided to postpone the examination with immediate effect.
The Council says that it is its priority to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test with complete transparency and fairness. In such a situation, taking seriously the possibility of any kind of irregularity or paper leak, the examination has been postponed for the time being. The council says that the entire matter will be thoroughly investigated. At the same time, updated information about Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will be published on the website of Maharashtra State Examination Council.
At the same time, after the matter came to light, political rhetoric on this issue has also intensified. Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Ambadas Danve raised questions on the state government, saying, “Just as the TET paper was leaked, Maharashtra was also the center of the NEET paper leak. Despite this, the government did not learn any lesson. TET is a very small exam in comparison, yet the Maharashtra government failed to conduct it safely.”
