Yogi said in ‘Aam Mahotsav’, chemical-free products will make a mark in the global market!

While inaugurating the Mango Mahotsav organized in Lucknow on Friday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government is working rapidly towards connecting agriculture with modern technology, global market and quality-based production.

He said that the aim is to take the mangoes of Uttar Pradesh to the major markets of the world by promoting AI (Artificial Intelligence) based farming, e-commerce platforms and exports. The Chief Minister observed mangoes of different species in the exhibition and took information about their characteristics from the mango growers. During this time, the mango weighing about half a kilo kept in the exhibition became the center of his curiosity.

The Chief Minister also got himself photographed holding mangoes in both his hands. He said that it is the effort of the government that the agricultural products of Uttar Pradesh are chemical-free and fully meet the quality, food safety and global standards. For this, special bags are being provided to the farmers for the safety of mangoes, so that the quality of the fruit remains better.

He said that Mango Mahotsav is not just an exhibition but also an effective platform to connect farmers with national and international buyers. Through Buyers-Sellers Meet, producers are getting the opportunity for global branding of their products.

The Chief Minister said that Dussehri mango of Malihabad has gained global recognition after getting the GI tag. This will not only benefit the producers of this region, but will also strengthen the credibility of the horticulture products of Uttar Pradesh. He said that four modern pack houses have been established to provide better facilities to the mango growers in the state.

While honoring the excellent mango growers, he said that the mangoes of Uttar Pradesh are being exported to many countries including Britain, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Malaysia and Kuwait. CM Yogi said that a special variety of mango has been named ‘Kakori brand’, which is a symbol of patriotism and dedication.

The strong foundation of Uttar Pradesh’s economic progress and agricultural development are its farmers. The state government is making continuous efforts to increase the income of farmers, provide modern technology and connect agricultural products to the global market.
