NIA raid in Jharkhand, RSS office attack investigation intensified!

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at several places in Lohardaga district of Jharkhand in connection with the investigation of the petrol bomb attack on the state office of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Ranchi. The investigating agency conducted searches at the premises of the suspects and examined digital devices, documents and other possible evidence related to the case.

The special team of NIA reached Lohardaga along with local police and central security forces at around 4 in the morning. The team carried out coordinated action at different places and searched the suspicious persons and their hideouts. During this period, mobile phones, laptops, digital storage devices and other documents were examined. Some material is also said to have been seized for further technical and forensic investigation.

According to sources, the investigating agency also searched the premises belonging to Saif Ansari and Aman Ansari, who are in judicial custody in this case. During the operation at Aman Ansari’s residence, when the main door did not open, the NIA entered the building from the upper part with the help of the crane of the electricity department and conducted a search operation. During this time, strict security arrangements were made in the area and a large number of local people gathered around the spot.

The agency is said to be collecting evidence to link the active network, suspicious contacts and possible conspiracy behind the attack. By analyzing the recovered digital material, efforts are being made to find out what kind of contact and coordination there was between the people involved in the incident. At present, NIA has not issued any official statement regarding this action.
