UP: FIR against Maulana Jarjis in Lucknow, he had told Lord Krishna to offer Namaz five times a day

Lucknow16 July. Maulana Jarjis, who gave a controversial statement about Lord Krishna, is in trouble. Accordingly, an FIR was registered against him at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow and the police has started investigating the matter. Police say that after investigating the matter, further action will be taken as per rules.

In fact, during a speech in Etawah on June 23, Maulana Jarjis had declared Lord Krishna a Muslim and called him a five-time namazi. Quoting a verse from Geeta, Maulana said, ‘The method of worship shown by Lord Krishna to Arjun is related to Namaz.’

After the video of Maulana Jarjis’ speech went viral, sharp reactions started emerging. Sages and saints also expressed their displeasure. In this sequence, Hazratganj resident Shishir Chaturved has given a complaint to the police. It has been alleged in the complaint that this alleged statement circulated on social media on June 23, 2026 has hurt the religious sentiments of crores of Sanatan Dharma followers. Such comments have hurt people’s faith and can create tension in the society. The complainant has demanded strict legal action against the accused.

Based on Shishir’s complaint, Hazratganj Police has registered an FIR against Maulana Jarjis Etawah under Section 302 of the Indian Justice Code and Section 66 of the Information Technology Act. The investigation of the case has been handed over to Inspector Vikram Singh.

Hazratganj Inspector Vikram Singh said that after receiving the complaint, FIR has been registered. The case is being investigated. Based on whatever facts and evidence emerge in the investigation, further action will be taken as per the rules. At present, the police is investigating the viral video, social media posts related to it and other digital evidence.
