Team changed before England match, Harsh Dubey included in place of Sundar!

The third and decisive match of the ODI series is to be played between India and England at Lord’s on Sunday, due to which left-arm spin all-rounder Harsh Dubey has been included in the team in place of injured Washington Sundar. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given this information on Saturday.

Sundar suffered an injury to his right hamstring during the match played at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Thursday, due to which he has been ruled out of the series decider. ‘IANS’ had earlier reported that Sundar will not be able to play in Sunday’s match due to a hamstring strain, as he needs a few weeks’ rest to recover.

BCCI further said, “Washington suffered a right hamstring injury during the second ODI at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. He has been ruled out of the remainder of the series. He will undergo a scan and seek specialist advice for further treatment.”

Harsh Dubey made his ODI debut in June this year. In his first match against Afghanistan, he took 3 wickets for 47 runs. He played a key role in India A’s 1-0 red-ball series win against Sri Lanka A in June.

In the first match, Harsh played innings of 30 and 29 runs along with taking a total of 3 wickets. This match was a draw, after which the Indian team won the next match by 10 wickets. Now Harsh has joined the spin bowling department of the Indian ODI team, along with all-rounder Axar Patel and wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

After the final match of the ODI series against England on Sunday, Harsh Dubey will travel to Zimbabwe for a three-match series starting in Harare from July 23. The remaining 2 matches of the series will be played on 25 and 26 July at Harare Sports Club.

India’s updated team for the third ODI: Shubman Gill (captain), Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer (vice-captain), KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Ishan Kishan (wicketkeeper), Axar Patel, Shivam Dubey, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, Arshdeep Singh, Gurnoor Brar, Prince Yadav, Harsh Dubey.
