Chalo Sansad March Monsoon Session 2026

Delhi Police has refused to allow the ‘Chalo Sansad’ march proposed by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on July 20, 2026, the first day of the monsoon session of Parliament. According to the police, no official permission was sought for this march. The police has also termed the current protest at Jantar Mantar as ‘illegal’.

Meanwhile, to strengthen security arrangements, heavy barricading has been done at the entry gates of Jantar Mantar and New Delhi district and intensive vehicle checking operation is being carried out. In view of the tense situation, contingents of Rapid Action Force (RAF) and additional paramilitary forces along with more than 100 police personnel have been deployed at the protest site.

Police officials say that due to security reasons it is not possible to give permission now. This protest, which started with the issue of NEET paper leak, has now taken a political turn, in which the fasting activist Sonam Wangchuk has been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital after her health deteriorated.

Senior Delhi Police officials say that maintaining law and order in the high-security zone is our top priority. This march may pose a threat to public safety and may bring traffic to a complete standstill in Central Delhi. If any mob tries to take law in their hands and move towards Parliament, the police will take all necessary steps to stop them, including arresting them.
