While coming out of the court, when Yashvardhan was asked what happened inside, he said in a loud voice – “Nothing”. At the same time, when Sunita was asked about this, she sarcastically said, “Had come to celebrate the birthday.”
After the pictures and videos of both of them reaching the court surfaced, once again the discussion about the relationship between Govinda and Sunita has intensified.
Actually, the ongoing rift between Govinda and Sunita came into limelight when Govinda was seen at the airport with his film 'Roopa' co-star Komal Rani Swarnkar. After this, Sunita had raised questions about the closeness of Govinda and Komal. He had also expressed his displeasure about the actress seen with Govinda.
Sunita had even called Govinda 'sugar daddy' in a conversation. He had said that he is hanging out with a girl who is of his daughter's age. Apart from this, he also commented on Komal's attire and advised her to dress properly. However, there is no confirmation of any love affair between Govinda and Komal. Govinda described their relationship as completely professional.
After this, Govinda reacted to Sunita's words through a video. He had asked him not to interfere in his work and not to say such things which would affect his image or work. On the questions being raised regarding age difference, Govinda had said that in the past too many big actors in Bollywood have worked with actresses younger than themselves. It is not right to directly link working together in a film to a relationship.
Govinda had also advised Sunita to take care of her language while speaking in public. He especially objected to the excessive use of profanity and abusive words. He said that the behavior of big artists and public figures can have an impact on the youth, hence they should be careful while expressing their views.
Even before this, Sunita has been openly talking about her married life and Govinda's alleged affairs. News of tension in their relationship has surfaced several times.
According to reports, Sunita had also filed a divorce petition in Bandra Family Court in December 2024. The reasons behind this were said to be cruelty, adultery and desertion. However, after some time, during Ganesh Chaturthi, both of them were seen together in public and they said that no one can break their relationship.
Govinda and Sunita got married in 1987. Both have two children, daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja. Tina, who is also known as Narmada, entered Bollywood in 2015 with the film 'Second Hand Husband'. At the same time, Yashvardhan is also preparing to enter the world of acting.
