Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel held separate meetings with senior officials of Kindril, Blackrock and Holtec International in New York. During this, he talked to the senior leadership team of Uber on Saturday.
Giving information in a post on the social media platform 'X', Bhupendra Patel said that during his meetings in New York, there were talks with the senior leadership team of Uber.
Keeping in mind Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of creating a smart and interconnected urban ecosystem, discussions were held to expand Uber's mobility network in tier-2 and tier-3 cities of Gujarat to increase connectivity and create local employment opportunities, he said. Besides, the possibilities of working together for easier mobility management during major sports and global events to be held in Gujarat were also discussed.
Earlier, he told that he had a fruitful meeting with Gerry Keefe, Co-President of Golub Capital in New York. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat is actively enhancing the global presence of GIFT City as a major international financial gateway.
He welcomed Golub Capital's keen interest in investing in GIFT City and considering strategic opportunities to connect its global partners in sectors such as banking, insurance and exchanges to the GIFT City platform.
