Tamim will now hold the responsibility of this post for the next four years. 37-year-old Tamim has also become the youngest president in the history of BCB.

Tamim Iqbal was the candidate securing the most votes in the elections held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. He was among the 12 directors elected from the Dhaka Club category. After this, he was unanimously appointed president in the new council meeting. Faheem Sinha has been made the vice president, while the name of the second vice president is yet to be announced.

He has more than 15000 runs in his name in all three formats combined. He scored 8357 runs in ODI cricket, while he has 5134 runs in Test and 1758 runs in T20 International. Tamim scored 25 centuries and 94 half-centuries in his career and also captained Bangladesh in 38 matches. Now he will try to take Bangladesh cricket to new heights in an administrative role.
