Experience of firing for the first time during Ram Janmabhoomi movement: Chief Minister Fadnavis

The Chief Minister made it clear that politics is not a profession for me but a mission which is a means of socio-economic change. I took part in the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi movement of 1992, when I was 20 years old. During this movement, I faced firing and spent 18 days in Badaun jail. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that I was present there when Babri Masjid was demolished and I am proud of it. Fadnavis was speaking while interacting with the youth at Resham Bagh ground on the occasion of the end of the month-long 'Manthan 4 Yuva Nagpur 2026' campaign by Janmanthan.

Cricketer Tilak Verma, Arjun Award winning chess player Divya Deshmukh, athletics medalist Dilip Gavit, Generic Aadhaar founder Arjun Deshpande, Go Zero founder Kiran Shah, cricket commentator Riddhima Pathak were prominent participants in this event. Fadnavis also commented on the increasing screen time of the youth. Children's screen time will have to be reduced. Children should be seen on the field. There is nothing wrong with being on a screen, there are great opportunities in the digital and orange economies. However, he clarified that for this, balance in life is necessary.

The government has taken the initiative to extend startup opportunities limited to big cities to the youth of 'Tier-3' cities. The government is focusing on decentralizing big incubation centres. The startup ecosystem in the state cannot grow unless the youth get easy access to the system. Therefore, Fadnavis said that the government will directly interact with the youth starting startups and solve their problems.

Indian cricketer Tilak Verma shares his experiences of the struggle and pressure behind success with the youth. His heart rate had increased while playing in the match against Pakistan; But he had it in his mind that the country should not be affected by that stress. There is a big struggle behind the runs and chances seen on the field, and after success the burden of expectations increases. Verma said that it is more important to maintain consistency and face pressure with patience.

Nine out of ten startups are likely to close. Therefore, government incentives and an enabling ecosystem are essential. Shah said it is important to simplify various compliance processes and provide effective 'single window clearance'. Deshpande appealed to the youth to focus on work that gives real results and think outside the box instead of spending time on social media.
