Relief to passengers on Ganpati, special train will run between Mumbai Central-Sawantwadi!

In view of the increasing crowd of passengers and demand for travel during Ganpati Mahotsav, Western Railway has decided to run Ganpati Special train on special fare between Mumbai Central and Sawantwadi Road. This will provide great convenience to passengers traveling between Mumbai and Konkan region.

According to Shri Vineet Abhishek, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, Train No. 09019 Mumbai Central-Sawantwadi Road Special will depart from Mumbai Central at 10:45 pm on 25th and 26th September 2026 and reach Sawantwadi Road at 2:30 am the next day.

Whereas, Train No. 09020 Sawantwadi Road-Mumbai Central Special will depart from Sawantwadi Road at 4:50 am on 26th and 27th September and reach Mumbai Central at 8:10 pm on the same day.

The train will stop at several stations in both directions including Borivali, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Kankavli, Sindhudurg, Kudal and Zarap.

AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second class coaches will be available in the special train.

Booking of train number 09019 will start from 12 September 2026 at all PRS counters and IRCTC website. Passengers are advised to visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in for detailed information about stoppage timings and train composition (coach information).
