BRICS Summit: Prime Minister Modi posed for a family photo with BRICS members!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and heads of BRICS member countries, partner countries, invited countries and international organizations posed for a family photo together at the 18th BRICS Summit. In this photo session organized at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Sunday, Prime Minister Modi was accompanied by Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian, World Health Organization (WHO) Secretary General Antonio Guterres and many other leaders participated.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi welcomed the leaders of the extended group of BRICS as they arrived at the Bharat Mandapam for the events of the second day of the summit.

On Saturday, BRICS countries adopted the 'New Delhi Declaration'. The declaration commended India for hosting the Outreach/BRICS Plus Dialogue session of the 18th BRICS Summit. It said that India's presidency has given new energy and new momentum to strengthen international cooperation and global solidarity.

The leaders participating in the 18th BRICS Summit on the theme of 'Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainable Development' reiterated their commitment to the BRICS spirit of mutual respect, understanding, sovereign equality, solidarity, democracy, openness, inclusiveness, cooperation and consensus.

The agreement on the joint statement of the BRICS countries on the very first day of this conference held at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi was considered a major diplomatic success. This is because there are different views on many international and geopolitical issues among the member countries.

The New Delhi Declaration noted that after two decades of BRICS, Member States further commit themselves to further strengthen cooperation in an enlarged BRICS under the three pillars of political and security, economic and financial, and cultural and people-to-people cooperation, and to achieve peace, a more representative, fairer international order, a new and better multilateral system, sustainable development and Also asked to enhance our strategic partnerships for the benefit of our people by promoting inclusive growth.

All the prominent leaders also attended the gala dinner organized by Prime Minister Modi in the honor of BRICS leaders at Bharat Mandapam on Saturday evening.

Apart from this, the leaders of BRICS member countries jointly planted saplings and also visited the India Innovates Expo organized at Bharat Mandapam.
