If a person buys something, the shopkeeper will have to pay tax. They say that the shopkeeper will pay this tax. You tell me, which shopkeeper will pay this tax from his own pocket? Why would he bear this burden? Somewhere, he will find a way to pass this burden on to the customer who is purchasing. The government should stop working against the people.”
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput said, “On one hand, BJP was promoting digital payments and now it is preparing to pick the pockets of the common man. Efforts are being made to impose tax on UPI transactions to benefit American company Google and UPI Walmart.”
