AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi, who is looking for political ground before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2027, has given an open offer to the opposition to stop the Bharatiya Janata Party from coming to power for the third time in Uttar Pradesh.
On Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's statement, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Targeted in 2014, targeted in 2017, targeted in 2019, targeted in 2022. We were targeted four times. Tell us what happened. Now we will not be able to stop anyone. If anyone says anything, we will respond. We do not leave anyone without paying their debt.”
Regarding BJP's allegations on Rahul Gandhi's 'Students' Echo' program, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi said, “There are capable people in the Congress party who will answer your questions.”
Regarding Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati's announcement of giving new responsibility to Ishan Anand, he said that Mayawati is a great leader of this country. On her own and without any family support, she formed the government with full majority and became the Chief Minister several times. This is a matter of her party and she will take the decision.
On UP assembly elections, Owaisi said that our party has not made any official announcement of seats yet. Preparations are going on in full swing and our party's organization is being strengthened district wise.
Asaduddin Owaisi said that we have said that whichever party wants to ensure that the BJP government does not come to power for the third time, it should form an alliance with us. We are ready for alliance. Now let's see whether this happens or not.
On the issues of law and order and employment in UP, he said that first, lakhs of vacant posts in UP Police should be filled. Why were they not filled for the last 11 years? Two days ago you demolished a graveyard with a bulldozer in Kanpur at 5 am. Under which law did you do this? The 'Waqf by User' law is currently in force. You are demolishing mosques, what kind of governance is this?
Regarding UCC, AIMIM chief said that you cannot abolish Articles 25, 26, 29 and 14 in the name of UCC. Whatever is in the Constitution of India was created by Babasaheb Ambedkar. How can you impose Hindu Marriage Act, Hindu Divorce Act and Hindu Succession Act on non-Hindus in the name of UCC.
He said that Home Minister Amit Shah has said that he will do NRC. NRC means making crores of people stand in line. If you see the rules of NRC, when the list is released, anyone can raise questions. Its sole purpose is to keep everyone in line through the NRC process.
