Currently the rivers of the country are being used as garbage dumps. Blood-like water from slaughterhouses, sewage from homes and chemical-laden water from factories are being dumped into many rivers. Because of this, these holy rivers have taken the form of drains. Due to this dirty water, water pollution, air pollution and many other diseases are spreading.
In such a situation, a young man has taken up the task of cleaning these rivers. Environmentalist Surendra Singh Choudhary alias 'Bittu Tabahi' is his name and these days he has reached the capital Delhi to clean the Yamuna river. Earlier, he had won the hearts of people at the global level by changing the face of Ajnar river in Madhya Pradesh.
According to a report in India Today, Bittu has started the cleaning campaign in Yamuna Basin from September 20 on the occasion of 'World Cleanup Day'. Bittu has shared a video about this campaign on social media and has given detailed information about this campaign. His strong resolve is once again being praised across the country. On the first day of this special drive, Bittu Tabahi and his colleagues removed 585 kg of garbage from the banks of Yamuna after just four and a half hours of hard work. During this cleanliness drive, the local people of the river bank area also supported Bittu.
A large quantity of plastic, puja items, nirmalya, garlands and other useless items were spread on the banks of Yamuna. By properly managing all this waste, the entire area was cleaned. Bittu shared this exciting and inspiring experience on his Instagram, and his video is going viral on social media.

This cleaning campaign of Yamuna river will continue for three consecutive days, and after Delhi, Kherki Daula in Gurugram will be their next stop. Bittu Taabahi has once again proved through his actions that a young man can revive the country's dirty water source with his sincere efforts.
