Tesla Flying Car Roadster Demo

Elon Musk's company Tesla showed its flying car today on October 16. During the demo, the Roadster second generation car went up a large curved ramp and flipped upside down. After this, it flew into the air from the ramp, overturned in the air and landed safely on the ground. This car is equipped with thrusters used in rockets. With their help, this car can move upside down and can also rotate in the air. This car can also reach a speed of 97 km per hour in 1 second. Production of the car will start in 2028.

After the successful landing, Musk said, “Well, it worked.” Musk described this car as the result of joint work done with engineers from Tesla and SpaceX. Musk explained that the car uses an advanced ultra-high pressure air tank to lift itself up. The car has altitude thrusters for air control and main thrusters at the rear. It can fly just like a rocket and perform acrobatics in the air.

When an audience at the event asked whether the car was driveable on normal roads, Musk jokingly said, “It depends on what your road is like.” However, he immediately clarified that it will be a practical car to use. Musk also said that the Roadster will be the only Tesla car that can only be driven manually. It has not been designed keeping much safety in mind.
