For this, ten bombs have been planted in the effigy. Bannu Biradari Dussehra Committee organized a press conference at the Parade Ground on Friday. Officials of the fraternity said that like every year, this time too the fraternity will organize a grand Dussehra festival at the parade ground. He told that this time the height of Ravana has been increased.

The tradition of burning Ravana in the country is considered to be more than 200 years old. It is believed that Tulsidas's disciple Megha Bhagat started Ramlila in Varanasi in the 17th century.

However, historical evidence of this is found in a painting made by British artist James Prinsep in 1834. In this, the organization of Ramlila and Ravana Dahan is shown in front of the king of Banaras in Ramnagar. This picture is present in the British Library in London.
