The high-level talks came amid a series of diplomatic talks aimed at deepening cooperation. Just a few days ago, India's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Abhay Kumar presented his credentials to President Aliyev, reiterating India's dedication to expanding cooperation in various fields. The discussions highlighted the historical and cultural ties that form the foundation of this partnership, and explored new avenues for mutual development.
Earlier in the month, Minister of State for External Affairs Kirti Vardhan Singh had gone to Baku for Dialogue and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) summit. There, he advocated India's philosophy of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family), promoted peace and unity, and urged member countries to collectively confront cross-border terrorism. These continued engagements underline the intention of both countries to build a strong and cooperative future.
