The Defense Minister said that I am shocked by the remarks made by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in Patna on Sunday. The most shocking thing in this entire episode is that this comment has not been made by any ordinary Congress worker or any youth leader, but by the National President of Congress, which calls itself the 'oldest political party' of the country. He said that the Congress President has hurt the sentiments of crores of countrymen by his conduct.
He told that but the Congress people did not stop here. Now the Congress party is again hurting the sentiments of the people by justifying Kharge's words. He said that instead of accepting its mistake and expressing regret, Congress is trying to justify this statement.
Rajnath Singh, reacting on this matter on Monday, said, “The position Kharge holds, more seriousness, restraint, decorum and responsible conduct is expected from him in public life. In such a situation, if the National President of Congress will use such language, then it is not only contrary to the dignity of his post but also raises serious questions on the political culture of Congress.”
He said that political protest has its place but this kind of conduct cannot be acceptable under any circumstances. Till yesterday, some Congress leaders used to make fun of the simple family background of the Prime Minister and used abusive language towards his mother. Today the same low level politics has reached the top leadership of Congress. The level of Congress politics is making new records of falling every day.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, “Turning ideological opposition into personal insult, taking political disagreement to hate speech and targeting the Prime Minister's family shows the desperation and ideological emptiness of the Congress. This is not just an insult to an individual or a family but is also an attack on the dignity of Indian politics.”
