Kiren Rijiju On Congress Rally Ai Generated Images

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has hit out hard at the Congress, alleging that the opposition created fake photographs using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to show a huge crowd at the opposition rally in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan. He also said that Congress is now relying on AI generated images to show crowds at rallies.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju targeted the Congress by posting a picture shared by Telangana Congress MP Vamsi Gaddam and other leaders on social media platform 'X'. Rijiju said that the team which spread the fake story of Congress to show Ramlila Maidan as completely crowded could not even create the fake picture created with the help of AI properly.

Former MP and Congress executive member Jagdish Thakor had also posted this picture on his social media account along with many Congress supporters. However, social media users were quick to point out the alleged manipulation of the photo. He claimed that the faces of Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi on the stage in the photo, as well as the actual stage of the rally, were completely different from the original photo.

Meanwhile, BJP termed the rally held on Sunday as a complete flop show. Ruling party leaders posted photos and videos of empty chairs on social media, claiming that at least 40 percent of the ground was vacant. BJP spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra said that before the rally, Congress had claimed that 10 lakh people would gather. But, actually 40 percent of the ground was vacant.

Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Patra said that the crowd at the rally was just the result of photographic manipulation. No one can become Prime Minister on the basis of such manipulation. On the other hand, to prove BJP's allegations wrong, Congress released drone footage and photos of the rally site. Congress has claimed that lakhs of people participated in the protests.
