Punjab: Three MLAs suspended from Aam Aadmi Party join BJP!

Three suspended Aam Aadmi Party MLAs joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party office in New Delhi on Monday. MLAs Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Harmeet Singh Pathan Majra and Chetan Singh Jaura Majra joined BJP.

Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon said, “BJP's convoy is increasing day by day. It is a great pleasure that Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Harmeet Singh Pathan Majra and Chetan Singh Jaura Majra have joined BJP. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Aam Aadmi Party is a sinking boat.”

Aam Aadmi Party had shown the way out of its two MLAs Harmeet Singh Pathan Majra and Chetan Singh Jodamajra from the party. Now the Aam Aadmi Party will demand from the Assembly Speaker to cancel his membership also. Both the MLAs have also resigned from the Aam Aadmi Party.

Yesterday, Aam Aadmi Party MLAs had resigned from two assembly seats in Patiala district of Punjab. However, the party had said that both these MLAs have been expelled as part of the action.

MLA Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra had resigned from Aam Aadmi Party. He represents Sanaur assembly constituency in the Punjab Assembly. He was elected MLA in the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections. It is being told that his own government had taken action against MLA Pathan Majra, after which he had taken a sharp stance against the party and has now resigned.

At the same time, Samana MLA Chetan Singh Joramajra had also resigned from his party. He had given this information by posting on social media. He had resigned from the primary membership of Aam Aadmi Party. It is being told that his name was not in the first list of candidates of Aam Aadmi Party which came recently, after which he has taken this step.

Chetan Singh Joramajra had reached the Punjab Assembly elections in the year 2022 by winning from Samana with a huge vote on Aam Aadmi Party ticket. After this he has also been a cabinet minister in the Bhagwant Mann government.

At the same time, suspended MLA from the party and former IPS officer Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh also resigned from the membership of Punjab Assembly. He has sent his resignation to Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan.

Regarding this entire matter, Punjab AAP State President Aman Arora had written in X Post, “Aam Aadmi Party has always given priority to Punjab. If any of our leaders ever committed corruption or tried to work against the interests of Punjab, then we took action against them without any hesitation and expelled such people from the party.”
