While addressing the 'Uttarakhand Rajyotsav' ceremony organized in Dehradun on the occasion of the Foundation Day of Uttarakhand on Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah mentioned the development works done in the BJP government, while he targeted the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. He said that the opposition leaders are not carrying out 'Save Vote' but 'Save Infiltrator' Yatra.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in his address, asked the public whether the voter list should be freed from infiltrators or not? Every infiltrator will be thrown out from the country and Devbhoomi. But, when it comes to expelling the infiltrators, Rahul Gandhi starts having stomach pain. Today I want to tell the people of Devbhoomi that Rahul Gandhi, the people of India will not accept your false narrative.
On the issue of SIR (Special Intensive Review), he said that the names of infiltrators should not be there in the voter list. He alleged that Congress has been doing politics of appeasement. Congress is not ready to leave the path of appeasement. Congress and its leaders have been continuously opposing the Ram temple. In the last 12 years, the BJP government has tried to give corruption-free governance to the country.
Claiming BJP's victory in the upcoming assembly elections, he said that the party has formed the government for the third consecutive time in many states. Now the next turn is of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. This time we have to aim for 65 pars.
BJP wants to make Uttarakhand a safe and prosperous state. The aim of the party is to make Devbhoomi the cultural capital of the country. To fulfill these three objectives, public mandate is necessary. I am confident that BJP government will be formed in Devbhoomi for the third time.
Taking aim at the opposition, Amit Shah said that during the elections, the opposition parties will raise the issue of Muslim University. The BJP government is committed to removing encroachment in Devbhoomi. The land of Devbhoomi will be freed by removing the encroachments on government land in the name of illegal shrines and madrassas.
The earlier Congress governments in the state promoted corruption. For years, Congress had left the economy of Uttarakhand dependent on money order economy and migration. Such policies were made that the water of the mountains and the youth of the mountains should never be of any use to the mountains. The BJP government has made efforts to stop migration and has worked towards creating employment and wealth at the local level. There has also been growth in the tourism sector.
Enumerating the achievements of the Central Government, he said that today India's borders are safe. No one has the courage to look towards India's border. The enemies have been responded to by entering their homes through Operation Sindoor and surgical strikes.
Amit Shah also targeted former Chief Minister Harish Rawat. He said that what work did Rawat do during his tenure, which the people of the state will remember? He alleged that the Congress had tried to stop the formation of Uttarakhand state.
The Union Home Minister said that this is an important day to remember our late leader Atal ji and express gratitude towards him. The people of the hilly areas struggled for years for the formation of the state of Uttarakhand. But, Samajwadi Party and Congress, which were part of the Indi alliance, committed many atrocities to stop the formation of Uttarakhand.
Even our youth lost their lives. By establishing the state of Uttarakhand on 9 November 2000, Atal ji turned this long-standing demand into reality. I pay tribute to all those who lost their lives in the long struggle for the creation of Uttarakhand. This movement was spread at many places including Rampur Tiraha.
He said that BJP has played an important role in the development of Uttarakhand. Moving towards a developed India, BJP has decided to celebrate the Foundation Day of Uttarakhand as a symbol of pride, achievement and determination. This is a big achievement.
