2 accused of robbery arrested

Amarpatan police arrested two accused who assaulted and robbed a pedestrian. The names of the accused include Mohammad Irfan, father Mohammad Sahadat, 22 years resident of Lalpur and Vikas Kushwaha, father late Rakesh Kushwaha, 18 years resident of Purani Basti Amarpatan Ward No. 11. Along with 2 mobile phones looted from the possession of the accused, the motorcycle used in the crime has also been seized. Police station in-charge Vijay Singh Paraste said that on August 23, complainant Jitendra Kumar Patel, father Rajnath Patel, 26 years old, resident of village Lakhaniya post Dwarkala police station Lalganj district Mirzapur UP, had filed a report that he had gone to Jabalpur on a bike with his maternal uncle’s son Rohit Patel to appear for the Group D exam. Both of them were returning after giving the exam, at around 9.30 pm, three people came in a bike near a dhaba over the bridge on the highway and stopped the bike in front. The accused had beaten up the bike riders and looted their mobile phones. The accused were arrested and presented in the court, from where they were sent to jail.
