200 passengers sat on strike at Delhi airport, SpiceJet flight to Dubai became the reason

Around 200 passengers faced problems at Delhi airport due to delay and frequent rescheduling of SpiceJet flight to Dubai. From Monday evening, passengers started protesting at different places in Terminal 2 (T3). Passengers allege that the flight timings were changed continuously but they could not get the flight on time. Due to this he had to wait at the airport for a long time.

 

According to sources, on Monday, two SpiceJet flights from Delhi to Dubai, SG 5111 and SG 5105, were to take off in the morning and evening respectively. However, the timings of both the flights were changed and the flight was significantly delayed. Due to this, a large number of passengers remained stranded at the airport. After information about the protest by about 200 passengers came to light late on Monday evening, the airport authorities took up the matter with SpiceJet officials.

Schedule disrupted due to grounding of a plane

“SpiceJet flights SG 5111 and SG 5105 from Delhi to Dubai have been delayed due to operational reasons as one aircraft was grounded,” an airline spokesperson said in a statement. He said, 'Alternative flights are being arranged for the affected passengers. The airline is making every effort to minimize the inconvenience caused to passengers.

SpiceJet is already going through difficult times

For SpiceJet, this matter has come to light at a time when the airline is already facing many challenges. Last week, Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu had told PTI that the Civil Aviation Ministry and DGCA are closely monitoring SpiceJet's operations and its financial position.
