2026 Citroen eC3X Electric Hatchback Launched At Rs 10.25 Lakh

Citroen has been releasing teaser images and videos of its upcoming entry-level hatchback, the eC3X, for weeks now. The official launch of the eC3X has now taken place. Prices for the updated eC3X now start at Rs 10.25 lakh, ex-showroom, and Citroen has also introduced the BaaS (Battery as a Service) option with the eC3X. With this option, the price of the EV starts at Rs 6.89 lakh, ex-showroom. The cost of battery rental under this scheme is Rs 2.26 per kilometre. Compared to the outgoing eC3, the updated eC3X is actually Rs 1.74 lakh cheaper. What all has changed in the 2026 eC3X? Let’s find out.

Speaking at the launch, Kumar Priyesh, Director Automotive Brands, Stellantis India, said: “With the all-new ë-C3X, we are taking a decisive step forward in India’s electric mobility journey. This is not just a product launch, but a meaningful move to make EV ownership more accessible and flexible through our BaaS offering. Combined with Citroën’s signature comfort, bold design, and practical technology, the ë-C3X delivers a well-rounded and compelling electric mobility experience tailored for Indian customers.”

The eC3X is actually an updated version of the eC3, which was already available in the market. The eC3X gets a bold and muscular SUV-like exterior design with LED headlamps, signature split LED DRLs, and front fog lamps. The signature grille seen on all Citroen models in India has been retained.

Coming to the side, the eC3X offers brand-new 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and also provides 170 mm of ground clearance. The ORVMs are now electrically adjustable and come with integrated turn indicators. Both the front and rear get faux skid plates, which add to the muscular look of the vehicle.

The rear retains the same tail lamps along with a rear windscreen wiper and defogger. On the inside, the Citroen eC3X comes with a minimalistic, spacious, and comfortable cabin. The EV offers best-in-class cabin space. The cabin theme on the eC3X is white and black, along with blue-coloured trim elements on the dashboard.

The car comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The eC3X offers an all-new Electric Blue instrument panel theme and dual-tone premium leatherette seats. It also comes with a wireless mobile charger and Connected Car Technology 2.0 with more than 40 features, including remote access and an auto-dimming IRVM. Citroen is also offering a JBL audio system and a Front and Rear Dashcam Package as optional extras.

In terms of safety, Citroen is offering six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat mounts with top tether, speed-sensitive auto door locks, a high-speed alert system, and dashcam-based predictive safety features, including Lane Departure Warning, Front Vehicle Distance Alert, and Pedestrian/Non-Motorized Vehicle Warning.

Citroen has not compromised on ride quality and continues to offer its magic carpet-like suspension setup. The climate-control system has also been tuned for Indian conditions. Citroen is offering the eC3X in six monotone colours: Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red, and Deep Forest Green. The lower variants come with fabric seats, while the higher trims get leatherette upholstery.

Mechanically, the car remains unchanged. It comes with the same 29.2 kWh battery pack and a single electric motor that delivers a claimed range of 320 km. It continues to generate 56 bhp and 143 Nm of torque.

With all these additions and feature updates, Citroen has managed to bring down the price of the eC3X significantly, and that is something we feel many buyers in the market for an EV will appreciate. Bookings for the eC3X have already begun, and interested buyers can either visit a dealership or book the EV online.
