At first glance, the new Continental GT 650 retains its familiar café racer design, yet subtle changes give it a more striking presence. The most notable change is in the instrument area; The bike now features a black-painted instrument cowl, giving the area surrounding the analogue-digital instrument cluster a darker, sportier look.

Additionally, the company has added new LED indicators and a USB Type-C fast-charging port, making it easier to charge smartphones during long rides. (Note: The current Continental GT 650 model also offers USB charging capabilities.)

new colors

With the 2026 update, the Continental GT 650 is available in four color options. The 'Rocker Red' variant is priced at ₹3,58,427; This color scheme features a black finish on the engine, exhaust, and cast alloy wheels, giving the bike a more aggressive look.

The 'British Racing Green' variant is also priced at ₹3,58,427. It features a polished engine and traditional spoke wheels, preserving the bike's classic café racer character. On the other hand, the Apex Gray variant is priced at ₹3,80,921 and features a blacked-out engine along with cast alloy wheels.

The most expensive option is the 'Mr Clean' variant, priced at ₹3,87,667; it comes with a polished engine and spoke wheels. This lets buyers choose the bike's look based on their budget and personal preference.

Engine and Performance

With this update, Royal Enfield has retained the Continental GT 650's mechanical package unchanged. The bike is powered by the same 648cc parallel-twin engine, delivering a maximum power of 47 hp and a peak torque of 52.3 Nm. This engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The suspension setup also remains unchanged. The bike utilizes a steel tubular double-cradle frame designed for performance. It features telescopic forks at the front and gas-charged twin shock absorbers at the rear. This setup ensures stability and balance for both sporty riding and everyday road conditions.

Cafe Racer Design

The standout feature of the Continental GT 650 is not just its engine, but its overall riding character. Its sculpted fuel tank, rear-set footpegs, and low-slung profile give it the authentic look of a cafe racer. While its design draws inspiration from the cafe racers of the 1950s and 1960s, the modern 650cc engine and new features make it well-suited to contemporary riding.
