2200 drones, more than 1800 guided aerial bombs… Putin wreaks havoc on Ukraine

Desk: Violence has once again intensified in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has alleged that Russia is continuously carrying out large-scale attacks, due to which civilians are suffering huge losses. He said that at least 5 people were killed in the Russian attacks, while 26 others were injured.

According to Zelensky, Russia attacked the Zaporizhia region with guided aerial bombs. In this attack, 5 people lost their lives and 26 people were injured. Two people died and 12 were injured in the shelling in Poltava area. Six children are also among those injured. The President expressed condolences to the families of the deceased and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.




  • The Ukrainian President said that Russia targeted not only Zaporizhia and Poltava, but also many areas like Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odessa, Sumy, Donetsk, Kirovohrad and Rivne. People living near the border and settlements located near the front are constantly facing drone and missile attacks.

    Zelensky claimed that during the last one week, Russia has fired about 2,200 attack drones, more than 1,800 guided aerial bombs and 87 missiles at Ukraine. He says that attacks on such a large scale remain a serious challenge to the security of Ukraine. He appealed to international allies to provide more military aid to Ukraine. In particular he emphasized on increasing the supply of air defense systems and missiles. Zelensky said that the meetings of the G-7 countries, the European Council and other allied groups should yield concrete results so that Ukraine can strengthen its defense capability. He also expressed gratitude to those countries which are continuously supporting Ukraine.
