Celebrating fitness on Yoga Day: From Akshay Kumar to Shilpa Shetty, stars gave message of healthy life

New Delhi . On the occasion of International Yoga Day 2026, there was great enthusiasm for yoga in the entire country. From Prime Minister Narendra Modi to public representatives from different states and lakhs of people gave the message of health and fitness by practicing yoga. Even Bollywood stars were not left behind on this special occasion. Many celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Sunil Shetty, Neil Nitin Mukesh and film director Anil Sharma participated in different programs and inspired people to take up yoga.

Actor Akshay Kumar practiced yoga with Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya at a special event organized in Mumbai. Akshay performed various yoga asanas with the attendees and appealed to make regular exercise and yoga a part of life. He said that yoga not only keeps the body healthy but also plays an important role in maintaining mental balance. This year the theme of Yoga Day was ‘Yoga for a healthy age’, the message of which was also conveyed to the people through programs.

Actress Shilpa Shetty led the yoga session in Gurugram, Haryana. Known for her dedication towards fitness and yoga, Shilpa has performed yoga with thousands of people and stressed the importance of discipline and regularity in life. He said that yoga makes a person strong, balanced and focused from within. Shilpa appealed to people not to consider yoga as just a one-day activity, but make it a part of their daily routine. Her son was also present during the program, with whom she was seen practicing various yoga asanas.

Actor Sunil Shetty also gave a message to people to be health conscious on Yoga Day. He said that the biggest mantra to stay fit is regularity. If a person devotes even a little time to yoga every day, its positive results are definitely visible. According to him, yoga is not just a physical exercise but a complete process to improve life.




  • Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has linked yoga to mental health and said that it is very important to remain mentally healthy in today’s busy life. Yoga keeps a person away from stress and helps in establishing balance in life. He said that Yoga teaches us discipline and self-confidence, which play an important role in the path of success.

    On this occasion, senior actor Mukesh Rishi also mentioned the benefits of yoga and said that yoga and exercise have been a part of his life for years. Film director Anil Sharma said that if people do yoga every day in the spirit of Yoga Day, then they can remain healthy and energetic for a long time.

    The active participation of Bollywood stars on the occasion of Yoga Day once again proved that Yoga is not just a tradition but an effective medium to live a healthy and balanced life.
